Electrode paste, also known as self-baking electrode or Soderberg electrode. It is made from calcined anthracite, crushed roasted coal, calcined petroleum coke and other main raw materials, with coal tar pitch as the binder, through processes such as raw material preparation - crushing - screening - batching - kneading - molding. As a high-quality conductive material in the smelting process of submerged arc furnaces, it is widely used in the production of closed, semi-closed and open submerged arc furnaces such as ferroalloy furnaces and calcium carbide furnaces, as well as in the production of electrolytic aluminum and blast furnaces. It features reliable quality, stable performance, low unit consumption, and excellent energy-saving effect. It also has good electrical conductivity, higher oxidation resistance and mechanical strength, as well as a smaller coefficient of thermal expansion, resistivity and porosity. These outstanding properties can effectively reduce the power consumption during the smelting process, decrease electrode oxidation and increase smelting output.
Minhe Guangda Carbon takes electrode paste as its main product, with a designed annual production capacity of 110,000 tons. It has now formed a production capacity of 60,000 tons per year.
