Cold ramming paste is a carbon-filled cathode paste that can be built at room temperature and is widely used in aluminum electrolytic cells, blast furnaces for iron smelting, and submerged arc furnaces. It is made by using high-quality low-ash calcined anthracite, metallurgical coke and graphite chips as aggregates, and coal tar pitch and coal tar or anthracene oil as binders. It is mainly used for filling large gaps at the bottom of electric furnaces and for tamping cushion layers. Or it can be used in combination with semi-graphite cathode carbon blocks or ordinary carbon blocks to build the furnace bottom. With its good fluidity, it can thoroughly fill the voids. After being compacted with a pneumatic chisels, it can fully fill the furnace bottom. After the furnace is powered on and fired, it will naturally solidify into a whole with the bottom of the furnace. Due to its good sealing property, it can prevent hot molten iron from seeping into the gaps and damaging the built furnace bottom, thus extending the service life of the carbon material at the furnace bottom. Due to the low construction temperature and easy control, it is beneficial to the health of construction workers. At the same time, it causes less environmental pollution and is a green and friendly product.
